DETROIT (AP) - A Detroit teenager has been fatally shot by another teen who was handling a gun on a day off from school.

Police say the 13-year-old was invited to play video games after snow canceled classes Monday. Sgt. Mike Woody says two older teens obtained a gun, and it fired when they tried to scare the victim.

Woody says police were interviewing a grandmother who owned the gun. She was not arrested.

In May, a 5-year-old Detroit girl was also killed by a gun that belonged to a grandparent. The grandparents were charged.
