TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A man accused of fatally shooting his friend in Marana last year has been convicted of first-degree murder.

KGUN-TV reports that Cody William Clark was found guilty in the case Monday in Pima County Superior Court.

He’s scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 6.

Clark was 23 when he arrested in March 2015.

Authorities say Clark and 22-year-old Austin Gann had been out drinking before Clark fatally shot him in the head inside a vehicle parked in a desert area east of Interstate 10.

Clark was later indicted by a county grand jury.
