CONWAY, S.C. (AP) - A Conway man has pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in the 2014 shooting death of a man near Myrtle Beach.

Prosecutor Nancy Livesay told local media outlets that 31-year-old Delshawn Anthony Davis pleaded guilty in Conway on Monday as his murder trial was about to begin.

Circuit Judge Larry Hyman sentenced Davis to 25 years in prison.

Twenty-six-year-old Antonio Dexter Smith was shot four times on June 14, 2014, following a fight in the parking lot of an apartment complex between Myrtle Beach and Conway.

Davis surrendered to police three June 17, 2014.
