NEW YORK (AP) - A New York City prosecutor says a high school coach who exchanged sexually explicit images with a 15-year-old volleyball player has been convicted of felony charges.

Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown said Tuesday that 45-year-old Luis Rodriguez of Freeport, Long Island, has been convicted of attempted use of a child in a sexual performance and other charges.

Authorities say Rodriguez used text messages and the FaceTime video chat feature while preying on the girl in October and November 2014.

He faces up to seven years in prison when he’s sentenced on Jan. 12.
