NEWFIELDS, N.H. (AP) - Police say a second victim has come forward alleging he was sexually assaulted multiple times by a former New Hampshire Boy Scout leader when he was between 11 and 14 years old.

The Portsmouth Herald reports (https://bit.ly/2hw8Tz8 ) that Eugene Perreault, of Newfields, was arrested Tuesday and charged with a second count of aggravated felonious sexual assault. The 69-year-old posted bail and remains free.

Perreault was first arrested Oct. 24. The affidavit outlining the first complaint is sealed.

The incidents involving the second victim allegedly occurred multiple times between 1998 and 2001. Police Lt. Mike Schwartz says both victims knew Perreault through scouting.

Schwartz says the second victim requested that the affidavit remain unsealed in hopes it will prompt more victims to come forward.

Perreault’s attorney says his client has done a lot of good for people.

This story has been corrected to show that Lt. Schwartz, not Perreault, said the second victim requested that the affidavit remain unsealed.
