ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - New York authorities say a man who wore disguises while robbing four Albany banks could face 15 years in prison.

District Attorney P. David Soares says Thomas T. Smith of Albany pleaded guilty to one count of robbery Wednesday.

Prosecutors say the robberies occurred between July 29 and Sept. 12. They say he claimed to have a gun, made threats and slapped a teller.

The disguises included a wig, a hat-and-sunglasses combo, and a construction helmet.

The thefts totaled over $7,700.

He’ll be sentenced on Feb. 15.
