PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - A Providence man has been sentenced to five years in prison for sex trafficking two teenage girls in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Twenty-one-year-old Mackenzy Scott was sentenced Wednesday in federal court in Providence. He pleaded guilty in September to conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of minors.

Prosecutors say Scott and 21-year-old Cristian Garcia, of Providence, posted provocative photos of the 14-year-old and 16-year-old girls on a website, offering them for sex acts.

Authorities say the girls were driven to locations in Rhode Island and Massachusetts to engage in sexual activity with people who responded to the ads.

Garcia also pleaded guilty and is serving a two-year prison sentence.

The case was investigated by federal authorities and police in Warwick, Rhode Island, and Seekonk, Massachusetts.
