BIRMINGHAM, England (AP) - Salomon Rondon headed a hat trick in the space of 13 minutes as West Bromwich Albion beat struggling Swansea 3-1 in the English Premier League on Wednesday.

Rondon, who had threatened to break the deadlock in the first half, rose to head home from a free kick taken by Matty Phillips in the 50th minute. He then nodded in a long ball by Chris Brunt in the 61st and completed his hat trick two minutes later with a header at the far post from another pass by Brunt.

Wayne Routledge scored a consolation goal from close range in the 78th minute, but there was no comeback for the visitors, who are battling to move out of the relegation zone.

Swansea remains 18th in the 20-team standings, despite picking up points since hiring American coach Bob Bradley.

West Brom moved to seventh, four points behind Manchester United.
