ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - A south Anchorage sushi restaurant was forced to close temporarily after a driver crashed his truck through a wall.

Anchorage television station KTUU (https://bit.ly/2gGIVfX) reports the truck late Monday night struck Ronnie Sushi on Jewel Lake Road.

Images from the scene show the cab of the full-size truck nearly completely inside the restaurant.

A crew Tuesday afternoon was continuing to clean up damage.

Police spokeswoman Jennifer Castro says the 50-year-old driver was using the truck to spin “doughnuts” in the parking lot before the crash.

Restaurant owner Ronnie Lee did not have a damage estimate.

But he says handmade decorations on the wall were broken into pieces and some can’t be replaced.

Online court documents did not list charges filed against the driver Wednesday.
