MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Vermont Gov.-elect Phil Scott, a Republican, has made some more appointments to key posts, and will keep on at least two people appointed by outgoing Democratic Gov. Peter Shumlin.

Shumlin appointees who will continue include Andy Pallito as commissioner of finance and management and Diane Snelling as chair of the Natural Resources Board.

Also on Tuesday, Shumlin named Thomas Anderson to serve as commissioner of the Department of Public Safety and Julie Moore as secretary of natural resources.

Anderson currently works at the U.S. Department of Justice and formerly served as the lead federal prosecutor in Vermont. He’ll lead the department that includes the Vermont State Police and Emergency Management.

Moore is a civil engineer with extensive experience in water quality management.
