ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - Police in Rochester say they’ve made an arrest in a shooting last month that left one man dead and another hospitalized with a gunshot wound.

Officials say 27-year-old Akeem Harris of Rochester has been charged with second-degree murder and assault.

Police say Harris shot 32-year-old Darryle Conner Jr. on the afternoon of Nov. 7 at an intersection in the city. Conner was shot once in the upper torso. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead about 30 minutes later.

A second victim, a 45-year-old man, was shot once in the lower right leg.

No motive for the shooting was released. The investigation is continuing.

Harris is being held in Monroe County Jail without bail. It couldn’t be determined Thursday if he had a lawyer.
