TUSTIN, Calif. (AP) - Police say a man suspected of a shooting in Southern California led officers on a wild chase with his girlfriend and two children in the car.

Anaheim Police Sgt. Daron Wyatt says the 24-year-old rammed his car into officers’ vehicles during the pursuit through Orange County on Wednesday.

Wyatt says the man’s car crashed at one point, but flipped over and landed on its wheels, allowing the chase to continue.

The driver surrendered after officers hemmed him in on a one-way street in Tustin.

Wyatt says two 4-year-girls, relatives of the 24-year-old woman, were in the back seat and not hurt.

Police believe the driver hit another man with a rifle and shot into a crowd on Nov. 28. No one was hurt.

The man and woman could face charges including attempted murder and child endangerment.
