TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Tempe police say a couple awoke in their home and found an intruder holding their 2-year-old daughter.

Police say 34-year-old Oren Cohen of Glendale was arrested early Thursday on suspicion of kidnapping, burglary and aggravated assault.

They say Cohen gained entry into the couple’s apartment and he picked up and moved their baby daughter to the living room before being confronted by the girl’s father.

Police say Cohen was at the apartment complex visiting a friend and doesn’t remember how he ended up in the victims’ apartment due to his impairment.

The girl wasn’t injured.

Police say she was found to be wearing the same pajamas her parents had put on her the night before.

It’s unclear if Cohen has an attorney yet who could comment on the allegations.
