DEPTFORD TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - Authorities have identified a man who was killed in a crash after fleeing from the scene of a traffic stop.

The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office says Andrew Davoli crashed into a tree early Thursday morning in Deptford Township.

The 27-year-old Turnersville man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. No one else was injured.

Authorities say Davoli had just fled from the scene of a traffic stop conducted by a Deptford Township police officer. Davoli was the only person in the car.

The crash remains under investigation.
