FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - Deshon Taylor scored 16 points on an efficient 7-of-10 shooting and Fresno State blew past Division II Holy Names University 88-54 on Wednesday night.

Jaron Hopkins finished with 15 points while Bryson Williams and Terrell Carter II each added 12 for the Bulldogs (7-3), who have won five of their last six.

Fresno State shot 54.8 percent from the field, while holding Holy Names to just 33.3 percent and 25 percent from 3-point range.

The Bulldogs led by 10 at halftime, but really began to exert their will in the second. A 14-3 run to open the period, capped by a pair of Hopkins free throws, made it 50-29. A Hopkins layup with 11:16 extended Fresno State’s lead to 30, 63-33, and Holy Names never responded.

Andre Green led the Hawks with 17 points. Dante Robinson added 10 points.
