TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Police say a pedestrian died after being struck by one vehicle and run over by another near Tampa.

According to a police report, a Ford Explorer hit 52-year-old Willie James Bacon Jr. and knocked him into the southbound lane of Nebraska late Wednesday night. He was then struck by another vehicle.

Police say the driver of the first vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with police. No charges have been filed against her. But the driver of the second vehicle didn’t stop.
