MANDAN, N.D. (AP) - Authorities investigating a house explosion north of Mandan that killed two people say a propane gas tank might have been the cause.

The Morton County Sheriff’s Office and the state fire marshal are still looking into what happened when the blast destroyed the house and scattered the debris about 100 feet around 12:15 a.m. Wednesday.

The Morton County Sheriff’s Department and the State Fire Marshal’s office continue to investigate the explosion that killed 60-year-old Clyde Howe and his 58-year-old wife, Elizabeth Howe, and injured her 17-year-old daughter, Elianna Vazquez, who is hospitalized.
