WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (AP) - A Pennsylvania court has denied the appeal of a now-42-year-old Pennsylvania woman serving consecutive life sentences in the slayings of a 73-year-old man she was having sex with and his son.

Holly Ann Crawford, of Sweet Valley, was convicted of murder in the April 2014 deaths of Ronald Evans and 43-year-old Jeffrey Evans in Hunlock Township, near Scranton.

Authorities say Crawford had sex with Evans for cash and gifts. They say she drove her boyfriend, James Roche, into fatally shooting the men.

A panel of judges on Wednesday upheld Crawford’s conviction, finding that jurors were allowed hear statements she gave to police and rejecting her claim that her conviction went against the weight of the evidence.

Roche is also serving a life sentence in the slayings. His appeal is pending.
