TURNER, Maine (AP) - The Maine Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the death of a 52-year-old man whose body was discovered in a camper trailer parked next to the garage of his Turner home.

Authorities say Craig Gordon’s father found his body in the trailer on Thursday morning.

The medical examiner’s office is examining the circumstances of Gordon’s death. State police say a malfunctioning kerosene heater may have played a role.

The trailer was heated by two kerosene heaters; there was thick smoke and soot in the camper but no fire.
