FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - Strong and gusty winds are buffeting parts of northern Arizona as a Pacific storm sweeps across the state, dropping light rain in many areas and expected to result in light accumulations of snow in parts of the high country.
The National Weather Service says the winds will be common through Friday and Friday evening with sustained blows from 20 to 35 mph and gusts from 40 to 50 mph before slowly diminishing west to east late Friday night.
Forecasters say the gusts will be strong enough to make driving difficult, particularly for high-profile vehicles.
A wind advisory is in effect Friday and until 6 a.m. Saturday.
