WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - A Red Lion woman has been sentenced to four years in prison for killing her husband in their home last year.

The News-Journal of Wilmington reports (https://delonline.us/2hBNHLe) 36-year-old Temitope Adebamiro (tay-MI-toh-PEH ahd-ee-bah-MEER-oh) pleaded guilty in September to manslaughter and a weapons offense in the death of her husband, 37-year-old Adeyinka Adebamiro.

She was sentenced Thursday.

Police found the man stabbed to death in the couple’s home in April 2015. Investigators say an argument between the couple had escalated to a fight.

Court documents show Temitope Adebamiro told investigators her husband was physically abusive to her and had been unfaithful.

Prosecutor Colleen Norris said this wasn’t a one-sided domestic abuse case, but instead a broken marriage with abuse coming from both parties.
