NEWARK, Del. (AP) - New Castle County Police have arrested a man in a 2012 fatal shooting in Newark.

The department said in a news release that 37-year-old Kevin Miller was arrested Friday and charged with first-degree murder in the death of 30-year-old Jeremiah MacDonald.

Police say on July 17, 2012, officers found MacDonald dead on the ground in a cul-de-sac. He had been shot several times.

The investigation was recently given to the cold case homicide squad, and Miller was identified as a suspect.

Miller is being held at Vaughn Correctional Center, where he was incarcerated on an unrelated charge.
