ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) - A company that makes specialized materials for the medical and automotive industries is adding 60 jobs as it expands its presence in South Carolina.

Ortec Inc. said in a news release that it will spend $20 million renovating and expanding its location in Anderson County by the second half of 2018.

The company also has locations in Greenville County and Pickens County.

Ortec was found in 1980 and works with companies to create the coatings, solutions and other materials needed in several industries, including for automobiles and medical devices.
