PHOENIX (AP) - A self-employed physical therapist from Peoria struck a plea deal and has been sentenced to two years in prison in a case involving a patient.

The Maricopa County Superior Court says Edward Ralph Hunter was also sentenced to lifetime probation after pleading guilty to three counts of child abuse.

Hunter had previously pleaded not guilty. He was sentenced on Friday.

Glendale police said the victim reported being assaulted during an April 16, 2015 appointment for treatment of neck and back pain, and that Hunter made incriminating statements during their investigation.
