RUTLAND, Vt. (AP) - A second person has been charged in connection with the shooting death of a Vermont teen.
Jonathan Testa has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of 19-year-old Daniel Hein in a car in a Poultney driveway Sunday. He’s scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday. It wasn’t immediately known if he had a lawyer.
On Monday, 19-year-old William Bailey pleaded not guilty to manslaughter and was ordered held on $50,000 bail.
An investigation determined Bailey, Testa, Hein and another man were in the car when the shooting occurred.
Police say the 21-year-old Testa was charged with possessing a pistol that was taken during a robbery and was brought into the vehicle where Hein was shot. They also said Testa is accused of burglarizing a farmstand in Poultney with Hein that day.
