MERRIMACK, N.H. (AP) - A Massachusetts woman was flown by helicopter to a Boston hospital after her car crashed and caught on fire along a New Hampshire turnpike.

Dakota Willette crashed her car along the Everett Turnpike just after 4 a.m. Saturday. The New Hampshire State Police say Willette’s car was engulfed in flames in the woods when they arrived on the scene.

The 23-year-old had been removed from the car by a fellow motorist who stopped to help.

The police say Willette was taken to a Boston hospital but did not provide details on her health status.

The crash remains under investigation.
