DURHAM, N.H. (AP) - Poinsettia plants grown by University of New Hampshire students are once again for sale for the holiday season.

The Thompson School of Applied Science’s 11th annual Poinsettia Open House runs until 4 p.m. Saturday at the campus greenhouses in Durham. The school’s horticulture club also is hosting a wreath decorating activity in a workroom decorated as a winter wonderland by students studying flower show design.

In past years, students have participated in national poinsettia trials to help breeders and growers evaluate regional differences in the growth and performance of new plant cultivars.
