FITCHBURG, Mass. (AP) - Two Connecticut men have been arrested in connection with a fatal overnight blaze in Fitchburg on Saturday.

Worcester District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. announced Sunday the two men, 37-year-old Ramon Millan and 32-year-old Jose Crespo, both of Bridgeport, were being held in Connecticut. They face charges in Massachusetts of assault with a deadly weapon, arson and armed home invasion.

He says both fled the apartment at 122 Laurel St. shortly after the fire started Saturday, at around 10:30 p.m.

The Worcester Telegram and Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/2gVZ1Pt ) firefighters found a dead man in the apartment, badly burned, with his hands tied apparently behind his back. The victim’s name has not yet been released.

About 10 people were displaced by the fire. The American Red Cross is providing them with assistance.
