FT. COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - A Fort Collins man is dead after being hit by a train.

Police in Fort Collins say they were notified of a pedestrian hit by a train early Sunday morning. They found a 42-year-old man dead at the scene, near the Spring Creek Train on the west side of Creekside Park.

Authorities aren’t identifying the man or specifying how he died until his family is notified.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident who hasn’t already given a statement to contact them.
