JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - A man shot by Juneau police is in stable but serious condition at a Seattle hospital.

The Juneau Empire reports (https://bit.ly/2g0wJkV) an unidentified 38-year-old Juneau resident was shot Saturday after police found the man barricaded in a vehicle.

Juneau Police Department officials say the man was unarmed inside a vehicle that had fled from authorities earlier that morning.

The man has not been charged with a crime.

Officers involved have not been identified.

This is the first time an officer has shot a suspect in Juneau since 2007.
