PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police say two young girls reported missing after leaving a babysitter’s house have been found safe.

They say the sisters were being returned home Sunday.

Police began looking for them after the girls were last seen at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday when they left a home near 40th Street and Indian School Road.

They say the girls were being watched by a family friend, who lives near the family’s home, while their mother was out for the evening.

Police say the girls - identified as 9-year-old Hailey Woods and 12-year-old Leila Galvan - were sleeping over at a different home.
