WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - City officials say a funeral for a Wilmington firefighter who died of injuries suffered in a September arson blaze that killed two other firefighters will be held on the Wilmington riverfront.

Officials said Monday that a public viewing for Senior Firefighter Ardythe Hope will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Chase Center. A memorial service and funeral will follow at 1 p.m.

Hope, who had been hospitalized in critical condition since the Sept. 24 rowhouse fire, died Thursday.

Lt. Christopher Leach and Senior Firefighter Jerry Fickes died at the scene after the first floor of the home collapsed, trapping them in the basement.

A fourth firefighter was injured.

Beatrice Fana-Ruiz, the daughter of the homeowner and a temporary resident, has been charged with arson and murder.
