RENO, Nev. (AP) - Family and friends of 15-year-old Sun Valley girl who has been missing for a month are making a fresh appeal to the public to help locate her.

Cassy Kauffman’s family reported her missing Nov. 5. They believe she’s with a 20-year-old man, Devin McCarthy, who is being sought by the Nevada Department of Parole and Probation in an unrelated case.

She’s described as white, 5-foot-8, about 135 pounds with strawberry blonde hair and hazel eyes.

The family held a candlelight vigil on a soccer field in Sun Valley Saturday night to help bring attention to the search.

Family friend Teri Watson told KOLO-TV (https://tinyurl.com/jnvdo6j) Cassy is a “a good kid” and that it’s out of her character not to have any contact with family. They’re offering a $1,000 reward for credible information that helps lead to her discovery.
