TOBYHANNA, Pa. (AP) - State police say two teens have been killed in a fiery crash on Interstate 380 in eastern Pennsylvania.

Troopers say the victims are 18-year-old Brooke Hughes, of Scranton, and her passenger, 19-year-old Chaniya Morrison-Toomey, of Dunmore.

Police say the car Hughes was driving had a flat tire and was driving slowly in the right, southbound lane of the highway when it was struck from behind by a tractor-trailer. That happened in Coolbaugh Township, Monroe County, early Tuesday.

Police say the truck driver wasn’t injured. They’re still investigating the crash and haven’t said whether the trucker might be cited or charged.

The crash closed that section of highway for about five hours.

This story has been corrected to show that police say the truck driver was not injured.
