EDDINGTON, Maine (AP) - The Maine medical examiner’s office says an 8-year-old Eddington boy died by hanging.

Mark Belserene, the administrator for the office, says it was undetermined on Tuesday whether the death of Isaiah Perry was accidental. Isaiah died on Nov. 23.

Belserene tells the Portland Press Herald (https://bit.ly/2hems9D ) there is no definite indication of intentional self-harm in Isaiah’s death, and it more likely represents an accidental hanging. However, he says it’s impossible to be sure of intent in the case.

Isaiah was a third-grader at Holden Elementary School. He had entered through school midway through his second-grade year.
