MALVERN, Pa. (AP) - Endo International, a pharmaceutical company with its U.S. headquarters in eastern Pennsylvania, says it’s cutting its 375-person sales staff.

The Delaware County Daily Times (https://bit.ly/2ht8QDy ) reports the East Whiteland Township company is eliminating its U.S. branded pain sales force.

The company hasn’t said where those workers were based, but says the cuts include full-time workers and sales representatives who worked under contract, plus support staff of the sales business unit.

The international firm, based in Dublin, says the cut will enable Endo to focus more on other U.S. branded drugs, including Xiaflex, which is used to treat cellulite.

The sales cuts come as Endo returned the rights to its Belbuca pain drug to its partner, BioDelivery. Terms of that deal aren’t being disclosed.
