UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. (AP) - A suburban St. Louis man is charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of his wife.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch ( ) reports Cameron Raphael Harper is jailed on $500,000 cash-only bond.

Police say Harper fatally shot his 31-year-old wife, Jannicka Andujar, Saturday afternoon in their University City apartment, then called police to report the crime.

Officers found the woman dead in their bedroom with a single gunshot wound. Harper and two children met police when they arrived. The children are in protective custody.
