SEVERN RIVER, Md. (AP) - The bodies of two duck hunters who went missing last month have been recovered from the Severn River.

Maryland Natural Resources Police spokeswoman Candy Thomson says the bodies of Matthew Davis of Glen Burnie and Earling Lamp of Stevensville, both 23-years-old, were found Wednesday.

Thomson says the men went missing the morning of Jan. 19 after going duck hunting in Round Bay off the Severn River. Thomson says witnesses called 911, saying they saw a man go under water about 100 yards from shore.

A 16-foot sunken boat, decoys and waders were found during the initial search.

Thomson says the Charles County dive rescue team used its sonar equipment to canvass the area Wednesday and recovered the remains within an hour.

Thomson says neither man was wearing a life jacket.
