RIDGEWOOD, N.J. (AP) - Police say a third man has been arrested on charges stemming from the kidnapping and robbery of a taxi driver last year in northern New Jersey.

Ridgewood police say Guillermo Carrillo-Iraheta was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Mahwah.

The 18-year-old Suffern, New York, resident is accused of participating with two other men in the carjacking of a taxi on Dec. 26 in Ridgewood.

Police say they hailed the cab and ordered the driver to pull over. Police say they assaulted, robbed and kidnapped the Paterson driver before dumping him on the side of the New York State Thruway.

The driver suffered several injuries not considered life-threatening.

The men face carjacking, kidnapping and armed robbery charges. They’re jailed on $400,000 bail.

It’s not known if they have lawyers.
