TUPELO, Miss. (AP) - A former Lee County sheriff’s daughter has pleaded guilty to a felony charge involving a break-in.

The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1Sk2Xs4 ) 37-year-old Jada Presley Harrington admitted Thursday before Circuit Court Judge James Roberts that she broke into an East Tupelo storage building. As part of a plea deal, separate charges for burglary of a vehicle were dropped.

Harrington is the daughter of the late sheriff, Harold Ray Presley.

For the crime of burglary of a commercial building, Harrington was sentenced to seven years in prison, with five years suspended. She also must pay $1,500 in fines and court costs.

Harrington was arrested Feb. 5 along with her husband, Clint Harrington, and her mother, Charlene Presley, after police found them inside a storage unit that belonged to a church.
