PHOENIX (AP) - People wanting to cast a ballot in Arizona’s upcoming presidential primaries face a Feb. 22 deadline for registering to vote.

The state will hold its presidential primaries on March 22.

In Arizona’s presidential primaries, voters can cast ballots only in the primary of their own party and independents must switch their registration in order to participate in the primary of their choice.

Arizonans can register to vote at county recorder offices or on the Secretary of State’s registration webpage at https://arizona.vote.

Early voting begins on Feb. 24.
