TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - It’s cold and it’s only going to get colder as biting Arctic air blankets in New Jersey this Valentine’s Day weekend.

The National Weather Service says dangerously cold wind chills are possible in the northeast and northwest portions of the state where wind and temperatures could combine to make it feel like it’s 20 to 30 degrees below zeros.

The coldest conditions are expected late Saturday into early Sunday.

Those conditions have the potential to freeze pipes, cause hypothermia and harm pets.
