JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - Police in Jonesboro say the death of a woman whose body was found on the city’s northeast side is now considered a homicide.

Police said in a statement that the state medical examiner’s office reported Tuesday that 41-year-old Stacey Devine was strangled.

Devine’s body was found last Friday in a field in northeast Jonesboro by a man walking his dog. Her car was found Monday in a neighborhood about three miles from her body.
