ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Federal authorities say a woman who pleaded guilty in the robbery of an Albuquerque bank last year has been sentenced to more than three years in federal prison.

They say 28-year-old Denise Romero of Los Ranchos received the 37-month sentence on Tuesday.

Romero was accused of robbing nearly $1,100 from the Fourth Street branch of New Mexico Bank & Trust in March 2015.

Authorities say Romero carried out the robbery so her boyfriend would have money to get bailed out of jail, though someone else actually posted his bond.
