MASON CITY, Iowa (AP) - A Mason City man accused of fracturing an infant’s ribs has pleaded guilty to two felony counts of child endangerment.

Authorities say 21-year-old D’Airio Cryer squeezed the child to cause the rib fractures. The Mason City Globe Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1Ogcf0M) that the child was taken to the Mayor Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, for treatment.

Cryer also was accused of pushing a bulb syringe up the infant’s nose, causing a small gash in one nostril.

Cryer filed the written pleas on Friday. Online court records don’t list a sentencing date.
