BURLINGTON, N.C. (AP) - A man wanted by Burlington police in a shooting death has turned himself in to officers.

A statement by police said 47-year-old Barry Lynn Williams of Burlington is charged with second-degree murder and possession of a gun by a felon.

Twenty-six-year-old Anthony Lewis Caps of Haw Creek was found shot shortly before 2:30 a.m. Tuesday on a city street. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police think the men had fought before the shooting. Police have not released a motive.

Williams turned himself in to police at the Graham magistrate’s office. It was not clear if he has a lawyer yet.
