MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Dedric Lawson scored 13 points and had 11 boards, and Trahson Burrell added 13 points and six assists to lead Memphis past Central Florida 73-56 Wednesday night.

Avery Woodson and Shaq Goodwin each scored 12 points, and Goodwin added 10 rebounds for Memphis (15-11, 6-7 American Athletic), which snapped a two-game skid.

The Tigers outscored the Knights 26-9 in the final 15:28 of the first half to take control of the game, led 33-15 and were never challenged the rest of the way.

Matt Williams hit a 3 for UCF with 8:03 to play as the Knights cut the deficit to 49-40 but they never got closer. Lawson, Burrell and Ricky Tarrant Jr., each made a pair of free throws, and Lawson’s layup stretched the lead to 57-40.

Williams led the Knights with 12 points and Chance McSpadden added 10 for UCF.
