TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Pima County authorities say they’ve identified a homicide victim found last week in a desert area of Tucson.

County sheriff’s officials say the body was as identified Wednesday as 33-year-old Andrew Laffaite Johnson.

They say Johnson also went by the name of Anthony Levi Smith.

Prior to living in the United States, authorities say he lived in Jamaica and the United Kingdom.

A woman who lives near Sabino Canyon reported finding a body of a man in a dry wash on Feb. 8.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area and say the victim wasn’t carrying identification.

They say it appears Johnson died from gunshot wounds and authorities still are searching for suspects in the case.
