SPICER, Minn. (AP) - The State Patrol says two people have died after they were hit by a car along a highway median in Kandiyohi County.

One of the victims was driving a station wagon that collided with another vehicle at an intersection near Spicer Wednesday night. While the two drivers were talking in the Highway 23 median following the collision, a passenger in the wagon attempted to get out of the vehicle. The passenger and wagon driver were struck and killed by a third vehicle headed north on the highway. The patrol says the two died at the scene.

The driver of the striking car suffered non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the third vehicle involved was not injured.
