STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) - A woman found dead on the side of a central Pennsylvania road on Valentine’s Day has been identified as a Philadelphia woman.

The Centre County Coroner’s office says the woman is 35-year-old Corinne Pena.

Ferguson Township Police Chief Diane Conrad the coroner is awaiting toxicology tests before ruling on the cause of death.

Police believe someone drove Pena to the site where her body was found sometime between 11 p.m. Saturday and 3:20 a.m. Sunday

Police say a passerby found her on Sunday morning, and there were no obvious signs of trauma.

Investigators released photos of her tattoos and a wedding band, which helped identify her.

Conrad says incident is “very unusual” for the rural township just southwest of Penn State University’s main campus,
